1. Learn to dance Lindy Hop at Bylaugh Hall, near East Dereham on Tuesdays

 

Doors open at 7:30pm. The lesson commences at 8:00 and will focus on basics and fundamentals and continues to about 9:00pm.  Thereafter, we will be providing freestyle and practise time to about 10:30pm

The lesson will be suited to those wishing to start or experienced dancers wanting to work on fundamentals and structure.  The freestyle will be time to let your hair down and Lindy!!!!

Entrance: only £5 per person

2.  "Any Swing Goes"  Weekend Workshop with Sweden's Henric and Joanna:

Friday 3 to Sunday 5 October 2008

Our next "Any Swing Goes" hosted at Bylaugh Hall offers a fully residential workshop, where a single teaching couple work with a small group for the whole weekend.  We believe that this approach provides a much greater return than is achieved at the more usual multi-group, multi-teacher workshops

 

The weekend is held at beautiful Bylaugh Hall in the heart of the north Norfolk countryside.  The Hall has its own purpose laid fully sprung dance floors and provides luxurious accommodation and excellent catering.  The "Any Swing Goes" weekends have developed a reputation for becoming one big 'house-party'.

The workshop is aimed at a small group.  We therefore aim to keep a balance of leads and follows, but the group does rotate, so you do not need to book with a partner.  However, attendees are expected to be comfortable with the basic Lindy moves, swing out, turn, circle and charleston and so is unfortunately not suited to beginners, but why not come along to the evening dance on Saturday 3 March.

3. Saturday 4 October Evening Swing Dance

At Bylaugh Hall, East Dereham, Norfolk (map).  Open to all.  From 8:00 to midnight(ish). £5 in advance or £7 on the door.

4. local Beginner and Intermediate Lindy Hop and Balboa classes and workshops in East Anglia

Al & Linda teach beginner and intermediate Lindy Hop and Balboa at various venues in East Anglia.  The purpose is to promote and encourage the dance at social level by developing strong basics.

Please contact us if you wish to be kept informed of forthcoming events or wish to arrange individual lessons.

 

Classes are held on a weekly basis at Bylaugh, near East Dereham and at Bungay, Suffolk by 'Lindy at Chicken Junction'.
